Service units

Choose where to serve

Every service runs on willing hands. Find the team that fits your gifts and help make church feel like home.

Children’s Department

Help children discover the joy of following Jesus.

  • Every Saturday via WhatsApp and after the Sunday service

What the unit does

We create a fun, engaging and Christ-centered environment where children can learn God’s Word, grow in faith, build godly friendships and discover the joy of following Jesus.

What serving involves

Expect lots of energy, creativity and plenty of smiles! In the Children’s Department we teach and engage the children through Bible stories, praise, prayer, games, interactive lessons, recaps and activities that make learning about God something they genuinely look forward to.

Content and Socials Team

Tell the story of our church in words, photos, video and design.

  • Sundays after service, plus planning sessions online as needed
  • No experience needed

What the unit does

We capture and share the life of our church beyond the Sunday service. We write, design, photograph and film, look after our social media and online updates, promote events and keep our community connected, informed and engaged. We also help coordinate activities where young people and the wider church family can connect and have fun.

What serving involves

Serving here is a mix of creativity, teamwork and being where the action is. You could be filming during services and events, taking photos, creating graphics, writing and editing, crafting captions, managing social media or helping to coordinate church and youth activities. No professional experience is required. Bring your creativity, a willingness to learn and a good eye for a great moment, and we will help you grow along the way.

Development Team

Keep the church’s website and the automations behind it running.

  • Flexible, mostly online
  • No coding needed

What the unit does

We look after the church’s website and the automations behind the scenes: the forms, the check-in at church, and the reminders and records that help the church follow up with people. When someone finds a service time on their phone or checks in on a Sunday, our work is what made it easy.

What serving involves

You do not need to know how to code. Most of the work is updating pages through simple forms, testing that things work on a phone, spotting what could be clearer and following step by step guides. If you can fill in a form and follow a checklist, you can serve here. And if you are curious about what happens under the hood, we will gladly show you.

Finance

Plan and steward the church’s resources wisely.

  • Monthly, or as scheduled

What the unit does

We look after the bigger picture of the church’s resources: budgeting, stewardship and financial planning. We help make sure that what God provides is planned for wisely and used well.

What serving involves

Serving involves reviewing reports, planning expenditure and keeping everything accountable. If you enjoy numbers, thinking ahead and asking good questions, you will feel at home here.

Media

Run the sound, screens and livestream that carry every service.

  • Before and after each service

What the unit does

We are the team behind the desk at the back. Sound, livestream, projection and technical support: if it has a cable, a screen or a fader, it is probably ours. When we do our job well, nobody notices us, and everyone hears every word.

What serving involves

You will operate the equipment, record the services and keep sound and visuals running smoothly from the first song to the final amen. We are in before the service and stay a little after it. If you are curious about how things work and calm when something needs fixing fast, you will fit right in.

Offerings and Records

Count, record and safeguard every gift with care.

  • After each service

What the unit does

Every gift given in church passes through trusted hands, and those hands are ours. We count the offerings, keep the church’s financial records accurate and prepare the reports that show where everything stands.

What serving involves

Serving involves counting, careful documentation and the secure handling of funds after each service. It is quiet work behind the scenes, and it suits people who are precise, discreet and dependable.

Sanctuary Keepers

Get the house ready before anyone walks in.

  • Before and after services

What the unit does

Before the first song, someone has already been here. We keep the worship space clean, ordered and ready, so that everyone who walks in finds a place prepared with care.

What serving involves

Serving involves cleaning, arranging the seats and preparing the sanctuary before and after services. It is hands on, satisfying work, and the difference shows the moment the doors open.

Ushering

Be the first smile people meet at the door.

  • Before every service

What the unit does

We are the welcome at the door and the calm in the aisles. Ushers greet everyone who comes in, help them find a seat and keep the service flowing in good order, so that people can simply settle in and worship.

What serving involves

Expect to be on your feet: greeting, guiding people to their seats, assisting during the service and offering hospitality wherever it is needed. We gather before every service. If you like people and notice the small things, this is your team.
